Writing a story in 30 minutes is required for the 11+ and most independent school exams. On this course we will show the group how to approach planning and executing a story in this time frame; while remembering to include the literary techniques the examiners will be looking for. We will look at how to write on from a piece of text and imitate the tone, historical setting and language in the example. We’ll read some short stories and discuss why they are effective.
