PRACTICE COMPREHENSION & CREATIVE WRITING with Emma 5.15pm to 6:15pm. Ages 7 to 8. 6 weeks.

In this comprehension club for younger children (ages 7 to 8), I aim to foster a love of words by gently delving into the ways their favourite authors use them. How does Tove Jansson make Moominvalley sound so exciting? What makes Paddington such a funny character? Using short excerpts and a few targeted questions, we will focus on a different comprehension skill (retrieving, inferring etc) every week, and finish up with a creative writing prompt based on the passage.
