Gemma Reeves

Gemma Reeves graduated from the MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University with distinction, and also holds an MA in Twentieth-Century Literature from Goldsmiths University. She has been teaching for over a decade in mainstream schools and alternative education provisions, specialising in Creative Writing and GCSE English. She is also an academic mentor for charities who work with underserved inner-city schools. She has extensive experience co-writing and ghostwriting non-fiction books and journalism, and has written children’s storybooks for Nickelodeon. Her fiction has been shortlisted for the V.S. Pritchett Short Story Prize, and the Bridport Prize.

Gemma’s first novel, Victoria Park, will be published by Atlantic Books in January 2021. She’s been working for Inkhead since 2017.
